A JPEG is Worth a Thousand Words Part IV

I've spent sometime surfing around google images today, and I've found some more JPEGs comparing Madame 45 and the Great Opologizer.

Also, as today is 01/02/2010, I'd like to wish you all happy PALINdrome day! Interestingly, "palin" means again in Greek. Check out this prescient piece from prior to John McAnonymous picking Madame to run for Vice-President.

Madame 45 Is Admired!

Madame 45 made another exciting list this week! She was chosen as the most admired women in America in a poll, statistically tied with Secretary Clinton! Woohoo! Of course, I admire her greatly! She's the best boss a Mac could ask for!

Also, apparently Madame's book is selling quite well amongst Pukelosi's constituents, even though the some of the super softy southpaws bookstores are not even selling her book! Buying Madame's book in the land of fruits and nuts is a sign of going very rogue!

If You Are Reading This, You Might not Support Sarah!

As I was surfing today, I noticed a clip from Joyless Behar's show. She was talking about Madame and her book. Apparently, Joyless thinks that Madame's supporters don't read! Does Joyless think that Madame's supporters (all of us!) are using Going Rogue to prop up your coffee table or for use as a door stop?

Oh well. Who knows how many of Joyless's five viewers actually read?

Going Rogue is a Bestseller!

The New York Slimes is reporting that Madame's book has hit number one on their non-fiction bestsellers' list! Occasionally, one of the softy southpaws' books will hit number one, but I think those are miscategorized. They should be listed under fiction instead. Madame also became the first Republican politician to occupy the top of the USA Today's bestsellers' list! Madame, I tip my screen to you! Congratulations!

We're going to get back on the book tour tomorrow here in Washington. I can't wait!

The Hoosier State

I was able to get some re-charging on the bus today, so I'm back and ready for whatever we have in store next. Big thanks to the BOTUS for filing in for me last night. We stopped in Fort Wayne and Noblesville, Indiana. The good ol' Hoosier state. Supposed funny man, David Letterboy, is from Indiana, but I don't think that thousands of people would wait in the cold to see him!

Madame also did an interview with Laura Ingraham, and part of her interview with Bill O'Reilly was shown tonight. Of course Madame was a patriot not a pinhead. I can't wait to see more of that interview tomorrow, including some more policy focused questions.

We are off to the Buckeye state tomorrow. More news soon!

Guest Post from the BOTUS!

The LOTUS is hibernating in the back of the bus as we have begun the book tour. She has been so tired by the past few months with all of the work that she and Madame have been doing. So, in honor of Madame's first book tour tweet, she is letting me write tonight's post! Who I am, you ask? Well, I am the BOTUS (Blackberry of the United States)! Madame put me to work a lot when she was tweeting as governor, but I've been a little bit bored lately. Now, I'm being put back to work! I'd like to think that Madame saved or created a job for me!

OK, so down to the good stuff! Madame had interviews today on Mark Levin's and Sean Hannity's radio shows. She was also appeared on Hannity's TV show tonight, which she taped yesterday. However, the really fun came in Michigan with the start of the book tour. My goodness were people excited. Some people went super rogue, and were even camping out as early as last night to see Madame! Madame has a great time meeting Michiganders and people from other states who traveled to see her:

Madame also released her schedule for the remainder of the book tour. We are going to be stopping by a lot of other places in the next month. Keep logged on to twitter, and myself or the LOTUS will give you the low down.

Now I also have to let you know about another interview that Madame did with National Review Online. In addition to radio and TV interviews, Madame has done some print interviews with various magazines. The LOTUS was indirectly discussed in this interview, and she was pretty excited. So, she wanted me to mention it:

On Facebook, which she has made such a powerful means of political communication: “Having a virtual office, and just working from my kitchen table, kind of forced me in that direction,” says Palin. “It’s become such an important tool in political discourse and discussion.

Yep, the LOTUS is a tool! Wait, that came out wrong. The LOTUS is a good and effective tool for Madame to use to communicate her message. That's really what I meant.

Well, I'd better get going. I have some work to do. See you all in Indiana. We're pulling out of Michigan, but this time on our own terms!

1,000,000 Rogues!

My Television Debut!

There is so much news to discuss today! I'm so excited! First off, Madame's book hit stores today! It has already been a pre-sale success, so much so that they are already adding a second printing to the already 1.5 million first edition prints! I will discuss the book more later. My press secretary was just able to purchase today, so she hasn't had the chance to finish it yet. She'll be ticked at me if I post too much about the book before she's finished reading it.

Madame spoke with Babs Walters recently, and part of the interview included my television debut! I was so nervous! I heard that the camera adds ten pounds! However, after Mr. Tivo showed me the clip from this morning, I was excited! I looked hot! OK, I need to work on being humble, but I was pleased with my television debut. For those who had been dying to know, yes, I am a Mac!

Madame did a great job Good Morning America. If you want to see my TV debut and Madame's discussion with Babs, check out these links. In the interview, Madame rated the Great Opologizer's administration a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. I have to say that Madame was rather charitable to him, in my opinion. She talked about a lot of other topics too, but I'll let you see those for yourself.

Madame also was on El Rushbo's show today, and she did awesome, of course. She talked about the economy, the Republican party, 2010 Congressional races, energy independence, national security, immigration, and of course, her book, and several other topics.

In other exciting news, Madame now has more than 1,000,000 supporters on Facebook! She posted a note thanking all of you rogues!

I will have tons more news in the coming days. We're hitting the road and starting the book tour in Michigan tomorrow. Woohoo! Road trip! Plus, more interviews with Madame will air as well!

On the Road again with Madame and the BOTUSes!

I was so excited to help Madame post about the book tour schedule and our return to Twitter! That means that the BOTUSes and I get to work together again!I know that they are excited that they get to help Madame get out her message about the book tour.

I must say I'm excited about returning to Twitter. I enjoy the challenge of the 140 character limit! I miss our days previously tweeting.

We're starting out the book tour in Michigan. I think we're starting there because Madame really didn't want to pull out of campaigning there last year, but Senator McAnonymous didn't want to win the Wolverine state. Madame first "went rogue" by expressing her desire to actually try to win!

We are going to Indiana (Hoosiers!), Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. YAAAHAY!! Sorry, I had a Howard Dean moment. Did anyone else notice that some of those states are swing states? I wonder if that means anything. Those are just the place we are going to go before spending Thanksgiving in Washington state. How do you like them apples? We are going to head West after the holiday.

I can't wait for the trip, riding in the bus with the BOTUSes. Perhaps First Dude and the kids will join us for at least some of the trip. I can't wait to see the country. We are even going to visit some an army base! That will be fun. Madame loves the military. I can't wait to tweet about our adventures. Perhaps Madame will let me write a book about our adventures later.

Going Rogue National Tour!

We're going on a book tour! I'm so excited! I love to travel! Madame was so happy to announce her book tour on Facebook today. She was so happy that she used 4 exclamation points! We're going to be announcing our stops in the next few days, but they aren't going to be in your typical book tour venues. As you well know, Madame is not your typical politician. I wonder where we will be going. Oh, look at me, I'm such a groupie. Hmm, since this is a tour, I wonder if I should start a website to sell tour merchandise. Perhaps I could sell " I went rogue, and all I got was this bestselling book" t-shirts! I think Madame would support me in this. She is all about supporting small businesses!

Not only are we going on book tour, we are also going to be doing some interviews! By now you've probably already heard that Madame is going on Oprah! Talk about a "Favorite Things" edition of the show. I hope Oprah's on her best behavior; she supported the Great Opologizer in the election last year. Madame is also hoping to speak with Bill O’Reilly, Barbara Walters, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, and Tammy Bruce.

I hope this means that Bill O'Reilly will stop pleading for Madame to be on his show. It's kind of pathetic, you Pinhead! Oh, I'm just kidding, Bill! I wonder if he will make me the subject of his Talking Points Memo on that edition of the show! Madame has already talked to some of the Fox hosts and radio show hosts before, but I'm sure she is still excited to talk to them this time. I must give major dittos to Madame for being such a Great American! I think that Tammy Bruce will be especially excited to talk to Madame. Tammy loves it when Madame Type, Type, Sends!

She is also going to talk to her Alaskan friends, Eddie Burke and Bob and Mark.

Madame is so excited for the book tour and to meet many Americans! I know I am! I'd better work on writing my signature!

Boo! "Ghostwriter"!

With Halloween just around the corner, it seems that the media have been all about ghosts when it comes to Madame's book. Well, perhaps, I should say ghostwriters, not ghosts. I'm hoping that Madame's journalism degree will rub off of me a bit as I write this post. I've decided to do a little bit of investigative journalism.

Stories regarding Madame's book tend to use the word "ghostwriter" to describe Madame's book. In fact, this yahoo news story has this to say:
Ghostwriter, collaborator, co-author. These sidekick writers go by many names, but they all serve the same purpose: to get the book finished. A true ghostwriter gets no public credit for the work but in reality there are varying degrees of involvement by these pinch writers.
Well, Madame has been upfront about her use of Lynn Vincent as a collaborator. Therefore, Lynn is a not a ghostwriter, but a collaborator! Being upfront is being transparent! Fancy that, Mr. President!

The Softy Southpaws and the BOM have been all up in arms about how quickly Madame finished her book! Let me fill you in a few things. Woohoo, I get to use bullet points!
  • Madame has kept a journal for quite a while which contributes to the book:
Palin said she's kept journals throughout much of her life that she will use for the book.

"My journaling really ramped up when I found out that I was pregnant with Trig and then Track was going off to war and I found out Bristol was pregnant," Palin said. "When we had those episodes in our lives come to the surface, it was very therapeutic for me."

  • Madame works hard and spent quite a bit of time in August working on her book.
"Sarah's been out of town for almost a month now," Heath told the Spokane Spokesman-Review. "I don't know exactly where she is, but she's writing her book. She e-mails me quite frequently. She asks, 'Oh, what happened on June 13, 1978?' This is material for her book."

Aww, Mr. Heath gave a shout out to me! :)
  • The publisher of the book and the lawyer who worked out the details of the book stated that this book was truly going to be Madame's words.
"She's obviously going to be engaged in the whole process of the book," said Burnham, adding that the role of the collaborator would depend on who was chosen.

"Every word of the book will be her words," Barnett said.

So, for all of the skeptics out there, do a little investigative journalism or just do some "googling" like I did. The answers are there. I'm the LOTUS, so I should know.

What's Not in the Book

While Madame was away at Track's Stryker Brigade Welcome Home Ceremony, I decided to share some details about the book. Shh, you have to keep this on the down low. Madame still doesn't know that I taught myself how to autotype. I can't share what is actually in the book, but I can share some things that are not in the Madame's book.

Contrary to Tiny Fea's silly skits, Madame did not personally shoot wolves from a helicopter, so there will be no stories in the book about any aerial wolf shooting adventures. Although Tiny Fea and Ashley Juddgemental need to learn about how shooting wolves actually helps the moose and caribou population so that rural Alaskans have food.

Another thing that will not be in the book are any stories about Madame banning any books, because she didn't! Plus, although Madame's pretty awesome, she cannot defy the laws of physics. She is not capable of time traveling in such a way that she could ban a book before it was even written as was alleged about her banning Harry Potter.

Madame will also not describe the view of Russia from her porch because she never said that she could Russia from her house! Are you listening Tiny Fea?!? Yes, you can see Russia from parts of Alaska, as Madame did say, but she never put it in such a context in which that fact was the totality of her foreign policy credentials.

That's all I can share with you. You'll just have to wait until November 17th to read it! Oh, it's going to be good!

Madame's Free Market Stimulus Plan

I don't know if Madame intended to help provide a jolt to various sectors of the economy by writing a book, but it appears that she just might do that. I wrote about Madame's book a few times last week, and her book still maintains the top spots on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, even though it isn't being released until November 17th. 1.5 million books will be printed for the first edition. That is a heck of a lot of paper, ink, and other necessary book-binding materials! I suspect that this will provide a needed stimulus to those industries, not to mention the both the brick and mortar and online book industries!

There is another industry that has seen its stocks rise in recent months, likely due to Madame's Facebook postings and the fits that she is giving to the Great Opologizer. Sadly, as an inanimate object, I cannot own stock. If I could though, I would buy stock in Kimberly-Clark, the makers of Depends. In the past six months, the returns for this stock have increased by more than 20%. This makes sense, as Madame has a tendency to make the President get all "wee-weed up" and make him so scared that he "you know whats" his pants.

Don't tell Madame, but I'm going rogue myself. I'm planning on preemptively starting on online business as part of my own stimulus plan. I'm going to sell 2012 presidential campaign memorabilia and 2013 inauguration keepsakes. My first item will be a "I went rogue, and all I got was this move to the White House" mouse pad. What do you think?

The Pit bull in Lipstick is Now a Cover Girl!

The # 1 Cover (H/T The Palination)

I finally get to share with you all another peek at the bestseller. The cover of Madame's book was officially released today. In fact, we just made the cover Madame's new Facebook picture. Hmm, there's a nice blend of red, white, and blue, and she is wearing a running jacket. I wonder if that means anything.

The book has become a bestseller overnight! People are quite impressed by how many copies it is selling. It is #1 at both Amazon and Barnes and Noble. The success of the book sales are causing the MSM or the BOM to use words like "unbelievable" and "unprecedented" to describe its release. Call me cynical, but in light of the amazing success of the book more than six weeks before its release, I'm surprised the headline isn't "Sarah Palin kills trees for her own profit". To be sure, Madame is quite grateful for the response. I think that Senator McAnonyous is a little bit nervous about the book, though he might just be upset that he didn't think of the phrase "going rogue", instead of being stuck on "maverick".

With the success of the book in just the first week of the announcement of its release, I'm wondering if there will be any subsequent editions. I promised TOTUS I would get him a version that would be teleprompter-friendly so that the President could read it. I wonder if there will be a picture book so that Vice President Hair Plugs can read it, too. I also hope that they release a Cliff's notes version so that the Softy Southpaws can understand when Madame "lays out her vision for an America that is strong, independent, and free". Softy Southpaws seem to think America needs to be weak, dependent, and bound. I think that Anderson Cooper will need his own special Cliff's Notes version for when Madame talks about sports.

I'd like to close this post by wishing you what should be a happy Energy Independence Day. A year ago today, Congress lifted the ban on offshore drilling, but nothing really has been done. I wish that Congress would understand the need for energy independence. I would give my space bar to be energy independent, but I'm dependent upon that darn AC adapter. It is interesting that the President thinks that we are a good enough country to host the Olympics, but not to drill offshore for oil. However, Brazil is good enough in the President's eyes to drill offshore. Hmm, if he thinks that, maybe they can have the Olympics too.

Going Rogue Goes to Number 1!

I'm not at liberty to say if this picture
is in the book, but it's on Barnes and Noble's site

Madame's book was put on Barnes and Noble's website and on Amazon.com today for pre-sale. It is already climbing the bestsellers list like a New York Times reporter climbing a tree after being chased by a bear when digging for non-existent dirt in Alaska. Going Rogue: An American Life has already reached #1 at Barnes and Noble and #11 at Amazon , at least as we speak, even though it isn't being released until November 17th. I can now "leak" part of Madame's book, the synopsis:
Sarah Palin burst onto the political scene at the height of the 2008 presidential campaign and overnight became a national sensation. Adored by the right, bitterly reviled by the left, she is the most polarizing figure to emerge in American politics in decades. Yet for all the dirt digging and gossip that has surrounded her, very little is actually known about who she is, what she believes, and above all, about her plans for the future. In her new book, Sarah Palin tells the story of her Alaskan upbringing, her marriage and family life, her political career, her religious beliefs, and her meteoric rise to national prominence. With her customary blunt common sense, she sets the record straight about the many myths and lies that have been spun around her and lays out her vision for an America that is strong, independent, and free.

I have a feeling Madame's book may just be a "stimulus package" for the paper, ink, book binding, and bookstore industries. If Madame is already #1 after day one of pre-sale, I can only imagine how many she will sell over the next several months. I'm sure that just at the sight of the words "Sarah Palin' and "number one", President Obama will get wee-weed up again!

Going Rogue November 17th!

Picture from 1,000,000 for Sarah Palin 2012
Facebook group

It has been so hard storing all of this information and excitement on my hard drive without uploading it so that you all can read it. However, I now can share just a bit about Madame's book. Going Rogue: An American Life is the title of her 400 page book! You see, Madame made her book just the right length. You could read her book three times (which you will want to do), or you can read the 1200 page cap-and-tax bill. Hmm, I wonder which would be more constructive, interesting, and enlightening?

We spent some time in San Diego working on the book late this summer with Lynn Vincent, Madame's collaborator, who knows a thing or two about helping to write a best seller.I have a feeling that Madame's book will be a free enterprise based, unintentional bailout for the paper, book binding, ink, and bookstore industries. I hope that Amazon doesn't crash because so many people are buying her book!

I don't know if I should share this, but TOTUS told me that the Great Opologizer is planning to write his third book with a similar title to Madame's book: Going Rouge: A Marxist Presidency. I was able to chat with him today while the campaigner-in-chief was trying to push for the Olympics to be in Chicago in 2016. Hey, I don't care if the Olympics are in Chicago or not, but I have a feeling that President Obama will win the silver medal in 2012.

I wish I could give you all just an excerpt of the book, but Madame has the draft password-locked on my hard drive, so I can't access it. Let me tell you though; I read it while she was working on it. It is fantastic! Is it a best seller? You betcha!
