Sarah Call Out Chief of Staff Dead Fish

I had the privilege of helping Madame endorse another candidate in South Carolina yesterday. However, I must say that BOTUS has been the one who has been busy today! First, there was a message regarding the Day of Prayer for the Gulf spill. Then, there was a nice, sweet Father's Day message. But the real kicker is the nightstick of a tweet Madame dealt to Chief of Staff Dead Fish. Yikes! Also, as you can see, if you hop on over to the Twitter page, we've spruced it up a bit by removing the book tour stuff. We'll see what pretty new background we get in the future. Who knows? But I hope one day that the number 2012 will be involved.

A Week in the Life of LOTUS

I may have to fire my "press secretary"!! She was without internet for a week and did not give fair warning! I haven't been able to blog for over a week! Geez! So, here's the lowdown on Madame's work over the past week.

She endorsed another Mama grizzly in Arkansas! She endorsed a gubernatorial candidate in Iowa. Hmm, Iowa is an early 2012 primary state.

She wished Coach Wooden a speedy recovery, although he later would pass. It was a nice post from the Point Guard-in-chief!

Ever the commandress-in-chief, she also remembered D-day.

She also took the President down a peg on BP! Not only that, she called out the media on their poor job of covering the oil spill. The Great Opologizer may be great at apologizing, but he's definitely not great at executive action.

Oh, and BOTUS kicked it into high gear over the past week. Check it out! She even did some replies!

Sarah Calls Out Extreme Weenies and Greenies

Today was another one -two punch on the Facebook front. After a few posts calling out the meaning, Joe McCreep, we took today to call out extreme weenies and greenies. Madame endorsed a senate candidate here in Alaska, Joe Miller. This may send some people up in arms, as Murkowski is the incumbent. The thing is, she is a little bit of a RINO weenie. She's pro-choice, pro-amnesty, and believes in global warming. Madame would rather endorse a military, non-weenie.

Our second post
was to call out the extreme greenies, as BOTUS called them in a tweet yesterday. In our Facebook post, we had to change the language a bit and call them extreme enviros. These people don't realize that, just because there was an oil spill way off the coast, you don't prevent drilling closer to shore or in ANWR. In fact, the restrictions placed on drilling by these extreme greenies have hurt the environment as Madame says, " radical environmentalists: you are damaging the planet with your efforts to lock up safer drilling areas." What a nightstick the Birkenstock wearers!

If Research Is Your Friend, the Media Must Be Lonely.

As can be predicted, Madame speaks about pro-life candidates and 2nd amendment rights yesterday, and the media gets wee-weed up and begins to misrepresent things...again. So, we had to call them out again. The media misrepresented Madame's words about the Obama administration's views of gun control...and she wasn't talking about FLOTUS's arms! Also, the media was wrong on Obamacare's funding of abortion and the Catholic church's supposed approval of Obamacare.

BOTUS weighed in on this issue too, and Madame even used an emoticon on this one! :)

Ever the supporter of the military, Madame tweeted a happy Armed Services day to those who are serving or have served.

Oops! A Day Late, but Happy B-day Trig!

I blame this on my "press secretary", as she was on a post-speech "high" after hearing Madame 45 speak on Saturday, but we forgot to mention that yesterday, Trig turned 2!

BOTUS was on top of things, with a couple of tweets in honor of Trig's birthday. One of them even included a Bible verse! GASP! The softy southpaws won't like that. Another tweet had a cute birthday picture for Trig:

Stand with Our Allies, not Sit with our Enemies!

OK, BOTUS and I are ready for some serious hibernation after today, especially BOTUS. She was busy tweeting trying to rally the troops, you all, about the craziness surrounding the health care reform bill. I even got to be in on the action, with one Tweet and posting a link on Facebook.

Madame was able to multitask today. In addition to addressing the health care bill, Madame decided to call out the Great Opologizer on his recent missteps with Israel. We went a bit rogue with this statement by first releasing it to the MSM prior to posting it on Facebook.

The first paragraph was Thatcheresque: "I seem to smell the stench of appeasement in the air". Madame indeed sensed such a stench. That is why she called the President out on his handling of some of our enemies. She spent the last few paragraphs highlighting Obama's missteps on our ally, Israel, specifically. Madame called for the President to hit the reset button on Israel. Believe me, us electronics know all about reset buttons; they change everything!

So perhaps Madame is establishing her very own foreign policy doctrine: stand with our allies, not sit with our enemies!

As a side note, a very talented lady has created an excellent photo edit representing Governor Palin's call on Sunday to Kill the Bill (complete with nightstick).

Not authorized by SarahPac or Governor Palin.

Sarah's Twitter Triumph

Well, my friends (sorry, I still can't shake that phrase after spending a few months with Senator McAnonymous), BOTUS and I have some exciting news to announce! Today, Madame surpassed 100,000 Twitter followers. Poor Mittens Pomade, The Minnesota Mullet, and Aw Schucksabee! They are at the 4 or 5 digit level in followers. Poor boys! They can't hold a tweet to Madame! She's even surpassed the infamous Meghan McTwit! OMG! We still haven't quite made it to the number of followers that Madame had back in the day when she was governor with a different Twitter account, but we'll get there.

Sarah Says watch MSNBC?

After Madame spent hours and hours watching the Obamacare, she had to unwind by watching her favorite hockey girls. She and BOTUS tweeted this:

Drag away from Obamacare mtg today2cheer Red,White&Blue:USA Women's Hockey w/AK's own#23 Weiland play Canada for Gold.Huge contest.Go U-S-A!

The only thing is that the hockey game was broadcast on MSNBC. Madame tweeting that probably greatly increased their viewership! The girls fought hard, but they unfortunately lost to the Canadians.

Madame spoke about the health care summit on Hannity's show tonight, speaking about the fact that the Great Opologizer didn't talk about the price controls and reconciliation that were likely to happen with regards to this plan. She also discussed the conservative plans that Republicans have. My assessment? I posted a JPEG below depicting the most productive thing that the President did at the health care summit--he went digging for gold.

Some Updates from the BOTUS

BOTUS has been busy on Twitter the past few days. She tweeted about First Dude dropping out of the Iron Dog due to an injury of a teammate and snowmachine damage. She tweeted about the awesome Olympic victory by the USA women's hockey team: the pitbulls in lipstick. She also got to play the role of TV Guide by telling people about Hannity's show tonight.

Another twitter update, we are now following people! No worries, we aren't stalking anyone, but we have to keep up with what's going on--the armed forces, news sources (take that Perky One), politicians, and even some musicians. For some reason, Madame's not following Gibbsy, Meghan McTwitt, or the Great Opologizer. Oh well.

Boom! Taste My Hockey Stick!

I've gotten to play sportscaster a bit this weekend. BOTUS and I made a few tweets about the Iron Dog race yesterday and today. We even tweeted an awesome photo edit which just so happened to be edited by our good friend, Karen Allen, who made the awesome header for the LOTUS blog:

Madame and the BOTUS did quite a bit of tweeting during the USA-Canada hockey game tonight! The boys did the hockey mom proud! We even put together a congratulatory post tonight:
Congratulations to Team USA’s men’s hockey team for a sensational game this evening. We needed this! It made us so proud to be fans of this team, this sport, and this great country. America's Olympic team of hard working, selfless team players – with no individual superstars – is an inspiring story for all. Now on to the next chapter in this great sports story… Go Team USA!

- Sarah Palin

That's right! Madame is proud of this team, game, and country! However, unlike some, she has always been proud of her country!

Madame 45, BOTUS, and Twitter...oh my!

Earlier this weekend, Madame decided to share more of her thoughts about "climate change" using BOTUS. Boy, did she say a lot with the 140 character limit of Twitter:
Copenhgen=arrogance of man2think we can change nature's ways.MUST b good stewards of God's earth,but arrogant&naive2say man overpwers nature

How many people can get media coverage simply because of a tweet?

Madame recognizes that God is in charge and the Great Opologizer seems to think he is...well you know.

Madame has another book signing here in Wasilla on Tuesday!

Guest Post from the BOTUS!

The LOTUS is hibernating in the back of the bus as we have begun the book tour. She has been so tired by the past few months with all of the work that she and Madame have been doing. So, in honor of Madame's first book tour tweet, she is letting me write tonight's post! Who I am, you ask? Well, I am the BOTUS (Blackberry of the United States)! Madame put me to work a lot when she was tweeting as governor, but I've been a little bit bored lately. Now, I'm being put back to work! I'd like to think that Madame saved or created a job for me!

OK, so down to the good stuff! Madame had interviews today on Mark Levin's and Sean Hannity's radio shows. She was also appeared on Hannity's TV show tonight, which she taped yesterday. However, the really fun came in Michigan with the start of the book tour. My goodness were people excited. Some people went super rogue, and were even camping out as early as last night to see Madame! Madame has a great time meeting Michiganders and people from other states who traveled to see her:

Madame also released her schedule for the remainder of the book tour. We are going to be stopping by a lot of other places in the next month. Keep logged on to twitter, and myself or the LOTUS will give you the low down.

Now I also have to let you know about another interview that Madame did with National Review Online. In addition to radio and TV interviews, Madame has done some print interviews with various magazines. The LOTUS was indirectly discussed in this interview, and she was pretty excited. So, she wanted me to mention it:

On Facebook, which she has made such a powerful means of political communication: “Having a virtual office, and just working from my kitchen table, kind of forced me in that direction,” says Palin. “It’s become such an important tool in political discourse and discussion.

Yep, the LOTUS is a tool! Wait, that came out wrong. The LOTUS is a good and effective tool for Madame to use to communicate her message. That's really what I meant.

Well, I'd better get going. I have some work to do. See you all in Indiana. We're pulling out of Michigan, but this time on our own terms!

On the Road again with Madame and the BOTUSes!

I was so excited to help Madame post about the book tour schedule and our return to Twitter! That means that the BOTUSes and I get to work together again!I know that they are excited that they get to help Madame get out her message about the book tour.

I must say I'm excited about returning to Twitter. I enjoy the challenge of the 140 character limit! I miss our days previously tweeting.

We're starting out the book tour in Michigan. I think we're starting there because Madame really didn't want to pull out of campaigning there last year, but Senator McAnonymous didn't want to win the Wolverine state. Madame first "went rogue" by expressing her desire to actually try to win!

We are going to Indiana (Hoosiers!), Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. YAAAHAY!! Sorry, I had a Howard Dean moment. Did anyone else notice that some of those states are swing states? I wonder if that means anything. Those are just the place we are going to go before spending Thanksgiving in Washington state. How do you like them apples? We are going to head West after the holiday.

I can't wait for the trip, riding in the bus with the BOTUSes. Perhaps First Dude and the kids will join us for at least some of the trip. I can't wait to see the country. We are even going to visit some an army base! That will be fun. Madame loves the military. I can't wait to tweet about our adventures. Perhaps Madame will let me write a book about our adventures later.

Apparently Madame 45 and I can defy Twitter character limits!

I had some down time today, so I decided that I would click myself onto Mozilla Firefox and do a google search of all of the work that Madame 45 and I have been doing lately. I have to admit that I like to see myself mentioned in print; I don't have quite the servant's heart that Madame does. My goodness, there is so much coverage! If you type in "Sarah Palin" and "death panels", you get more than 613,000 results on google. Now some people can't seem to understand what Madame was talking about with her posts.

There are some, however, who understand the message that we are trying to put out there. One of these people is Bernie Quigley blogging for The Hill. Here is an excerpt of his post:

Although completely unknown to the world east and south of Juneau one year ago, two words on Twitter by Sarah Palin sent the president of the United States in a panic to the op-ed page of the Sunday New York Times in opposition.

It should have been a great week for Newt Gingrich. He said last week there should be questions about federal bureaucrats running this thing; there should be questions about something so heartbreaking as the death of a loved one being footnoted in an indecipherable bill hundreds of pages long; there should be questions about euthanasia. Gingrich is their idea man and the press has been listening to his ideas and responding now for 20-some years. But this time he was passed over and ignored, because Sarah Palin, Citizen and Renegade, echoed these sentiments in a short, singular declarative sentence on Twitter.

One of the major networks began its coverage of the protests at the town halls last week with a commentary about Palin’s brief Twitter message, darkly suggesting that these demonstrations were un-American and were instigated by Palin. Then, seen through an airport window at the end of last week, Fox News, which supports Palin and opposes the ObamaCare plan, presented the story with a bright picture of Palin
at the upper left top and Obama in a submissive scowl to the right and below.

Now, this write up was a lot more positive than most, so I don't want to deride it completely. However, Mr. Quigley doesn't correctly identify the social medium that Madame and I use for our health care reform messages!

Now our original health care reform post on Facebook was 1,853 characters long! I suppose we could have tweeted this message, but it would have taken 14 tweets to complete! Plus, although the Complete Nonsense Network, er, I mean CNN, had reported that we had a new Twitter account, this has not happened yet. Now, Madame is pretty amazing, and she truly resonates with people. Some would say even that she is Chuck Norrisesque, but she can't defy the Twitter character limits. I will give props to Mr. Quigley, though, he gets it better than most!

Ah, I miss Twitter. I wonder when Madame and I will return? We shall see! If you wish to reminisce of Madame's time tweeting as governor, check out her Twitter page.

If you wish to see a good write up on Quigley's article, check out Doug Brady's article at Conservatives4Palin.
