Smackdown of a Blogger and Gibbsy!

We had a double nightstick posting day today! First, Madame posted about her continued support for Nikki Haley whom she endorsed for SC. Some crazy blogger is claiming an affair with Nikki. Madame knows all about rumors from bloggers. She even mentioned of the false ones the crazies brought out about her--divorce, moves to the Hamptons or Montana. I'm kind of disappointed that she didn't mention the rumor that she left Todd for Bigfoot!

Then, as stupidity would have it, Gibbsy made a comment yesterday that Madame needed to learn about the oil industry when she criticized the Great Opologizer's ties to British Petroleum on FoxNews Sunday. We even tweeted about it! Geez! That's like someone saying Albert Pujols needs to learn how to hit or Michael Jordan needs to learn how to dunk. So, Madame went to work calling out the administration on their poor response to the oil spill and how Alaskans would handle the spill. Madame would know!

Happy Birthday, Alaska!

Well, since it is the new year I thought I get a makeover! One of my press secretary's friends, Karen Allen, made me a beautiful new banner that I decided to upload for the new year! You all know I have a little bit of a struggle with vanity, so I was thrilled that Karen included 8 pictures of me on the banner! I still can't seem to have the servant's heart that Madame does. Sigh. The banner also includes some awesome American flag, Facebook, US Capitol building, Northern Lights, and Ronald Reagan (Madame's favorite President) wallpaper! You see, I'm well dressed! Karen also included the wonderful moose and a picture of Madame with my favorite little boy, Trig. This picture was taken while Madame was wearing THE hat. The banner also includes forget-me-nots, Alaska's state flower.

Speaking of Alaska, today is Alaska's 51st birthday! She became a state on January 3rd, 1959! Happy birthday to the Last Frontier!

Climate Change Poetry

Madame signing books at Elmendorf Air Force Base
(H/T Conservative Girl with a Voice)

Oh my. It's so good to be home in Alaska. I've been able to hibernate back on Madame's kitchen counter top. It has been great! Madame had two book signings today at Air Force bases in Alaska. I can't wait to see what we have planned for the holidays!

OK, so there has been something that I've wanted to share with you all. As you all know, Madame wrote an excellent op-ed for the Washington Post. Well, apparently Algore, the Climategate denier himself, wrote a poem for his new book about "global warming". Don't tell Madame this, but I'm going to re-write her Washington Post op-ed as a poem in response to Algore's poem.

The polar bear number are growing.
But even so, you are still moaning.
Climate change and weather are cyclical.
But your version of global warming is fictional.
I created a climate change sub cabinet for the nation's only arctic state.
Yet you're too chicken to face up to the truth of climate gate.
The economy will be hurt under cap and tax.
But the President is unwilling to fully face that fact.
Mr. President, you said you would be change we could believe in.
So please won't you boycott Copenhagen.

Perhaps I will be even more poetically inspired now that I'm back home and have the view of Lake Lucille out of my window.

Happy Alaska Day!

Madame posted a Facebook note this afternoon to wish everyone a Happy Alaska Day! On October 18, 1867, an American flag flew over Alaska for the first time! Madame spoke about all that Alaska contributes to the rest of the US--fish, ore, timber, an oil pipeline, and soon, a natural gas pipeline. You see, two and a half years, Madame did more to bring the natural gas pipeline to fruition in than her predecessors ever did. Aside from all of that, Alaska provides to the rest of the country, it truly has a beauty all its own--more beauty than a whole cache of high resolution wallpapers!

Madame also wished Bristol a happy birthday! How fitting that one of the kids shares their birthday with Alaska!

Time for some rest for me (I hope)! We've had three days in a row of Facebook posts! That one yesterday was a real punch at the Great Opologizer. Madame may have the stamina for it, but I'm pooped! Time for some hibernation mode for me!
